Compliance: Why are continuous Drive logs created?
Answer
  • The System will keep the driver in "Drive" status if the GO device loses cell coverage during their time of driving.
  • If The GO Device is unplugged while the driver is driving, they will be kept in "Drive" status, thus creating a continuous Drive log.
  • The driver has continued driving from the previous day to the next.
  • When the driver is at a location that has no network service, the tablet can not update his/her duty status in real time, however all the logs will still be recorded and will be updated in real time once he/she is back in the good coverage area.
Additional Notes
  • An automatic D status log cannot be modified. Message will appear of " You can not make changes that will affect the duration or date of automatic status logs. "However, an annotation can be added. Also, the driver can use paper logs until the installation of the Go device has been secured.
  • A reprocess can help refresh the Driver's Status logs, giving them the correct status when they have gone out of cell coverage.
