Hardware and Firmware: How to troubleshoot the NFC Reader

Procedure

  1. Ensure that the NFC Reader is securely plugged into the GO device
  2. Check in the Engine Measurements forIOX NFC (1 = present) and the value is 1
  3. Turn onDriver identification reminder and listen if the device starts to beep to prompt for a key swipe and that it stops beeping when key is swipedand you should also hear a beep that is also accompanied by a green light from the NFC reader
  4. Ensure that driving feedback is working for the device without the NFC Reader connected
    • Turn on Driver feedback for Idling > Set value to 1 minute
    • If getting engine data: Turn on Driver feedback "Beep on engine RPM" > Set value to 500 RPM
    • Ensure that the device is beeping when testing the feedback without the NFC
  5. Try a known working NFC reader with GO device in question as well as trying the NFC reader with another GO device

Additional Notes

  • If no driver tag is assigned to the driver we will see an " Insert key log in the Audit Log . If the driver is not assigned a tag they will not be associated with a vehicle
  • IOX-NFC Reader
  • The NFC will flash green if the card is correctly tapped and read (the driver is successfully assigned). The NFC will flash red or orange if it is unsuccessful.
