MyGeotab: How to setup a rule notification to detect ignition on for a vehicle

Procedure

  1. Navigate to Rules & Groups > Click Rules or Click Groups & Rules > Select Rules 
  2. Click Add at the top
  3. Fill out the information in the Name tab as required
  4. Under the Conditions tab, Click More > Ignition (Under Device Category)
  5. Click Add
  6. Under the Conditions tab, Click More > Asset (Under Device Category)
  7. Select the asset(s) you want this rule to apply to
  8. Click Add
  9. Click Notifications tab and setup Notification options as required
  10. Click Save 

Additional Notes

  • True indicates Ignition ON (1)
  • False indicates Ignition OFF (0)
