Procedure
- Open the Import Groups SDK tool from here.
- Enter the server, database, and your credentials to login.
- Enter the Group information in either of the following formats:
Name1,Description,ParentGroupName Name2,Description,
- Click Import groups
Additional Notes
- Name1 , Name2 ... correspond to the name of the new group that wants to be added.
- Description is used to add a comment (description) to the group that wants to be added.
It can be left blank like Name1,,ParentGroupName
- ParentGroupName corresponds to the name of the parent group to which a group wants to be added.
- The second example in Step 3 does not specify a parent group and will instead be placed in your top-most group (i.e. Company Group).
- Groups will automatically be created for you if they do not already exist.
- Multiple groups can be imported at a time. Each group needs to be placed on its own line.
