Answer
- An exemption cannot be created or added after it has already occurred. Annotations can be added to the logs by the driver or the administrator, to indicate the driver meant to be in a different status.
- Automatically created logs cannot be edited to change the status.

- This also pertains to the 16 hour exemption.
- MyGeotab 1902+ has the option for administrators to ignore logs which helps the driverregain availability hours. Note that ignored logs will still be transferred to FMCSA upon inspection. It is recommended to add an annotation when using this option.Please see How do I mark HOS logs as Ignored? for more information
- Admin can edit an exemption (not a driving one like Yard Movement or Personal Conveyance) to a different time, but at this present time, they can't add it.
